I love the vibe of this place - upscale, relaxing and clean. I was greeted by friendly, courteous staff and ushered immediately to the back area. The decor is white and sand colored, with jute rugs, linen curtains and soft cotton fabrics. Candles line the walkway and are on shelves in each corner of the room (faux, no open flames), and there’s a delicate scent of orange and vanilla in the air. Soothing music plays unobtrusively - a mix of Native American flute and nature sounds. My masseuse is Julie: petite, softspoken and a thorough professional. She indicates where I should place my clothes, hands me some bottled water and discretely disappears while I undress. The massage table is immaculate and there is a heating source under the sheets and blanket (maybe a large heating pad?) that keeps me cozy and warm. After a brief discussion about any points of soreness or pain and the level of pressure I would prefer, the massage starts. She uses her hands and forearms, heated rocks and delightful oils to melt away the aches and knots acquired from stress, poor sleep and being hunched over a laptop every day.
I appreciated the hot towels she used to remove the oil at the end of the massage so I was able to put my clothes on over clean skin.
I checked the time as left and re-entered the reception area - 73 minutes had elapsed, so I had spent a full hour on the massage table. The prices are posted clearly and there’s no upsell before or during the service. The cost is fair for the level of relief provided.
